Slavic smudge, smudge stick, herbal wand – incense natural for tranquility.
Herbal wands are an attribute of Slavic culture, they were used by shamans, quacks, witches and people healing souls and bodies. They were burned in the chambers where the sick stayed to nullify viruses and bacteria. This is because the smoke from incense has an antiseptic effect. If you are a woman of power, you are connected to Mother Nature, use the Polish meadows and live in harmony with the spirit of our ancestors. Our grandfathers and grandmothers drew on their knowledge of herbs, and smudging them was supposed to ensure the cleansing of homes, purify the spirit, body and bring good energy, and drive away unclean forces. If you want to know why you should choose incense made from Polish plants rather than, for example, palo santo – you can read more on the topic in our blog.
How to burn herbal incense?
Burning incense is more effective when accompanied by intention. Incense for peace set fire to one end, then blow out the fire. Move it up, down, you can also make circular movements to keep the embers. The burning plume can be set aside on a non-flammable ceramic or metal stand. If you want to move around with it to fume your house, for example, it’s a good idea to keep the saucers under the incense to avoid falling ashes.
