Growkit Store – research mycelium kits

In this section you will find growkits with fully developed mycelium, intended for microscopy, taxonomy and mycology education. They allow you to study well-known Psilocybe cubensis strains such as Golden Teacher, Mazatapec or McKennaii in a compact, ready-to-use form.

A growkit is legal to possess in Poland because the mycelium does not contain prohibited substances. However, cultivating psilocybin mushrooms and possessing fruiting bodies is illegal. Always check the current legal status in your country before ordering.

What is a growkit?

A growkit is a compact research set containing a fully colonised mycelium block placed inside a protective box or filter bag. In mushroom growkits the block is colonised by a specific Psilocybe cubensis lineage, which makes it suitable for microscopy, taxonomic work and educational mycology. Growkits are legal to possess in Poland because the mycelium itself does not contain psilocybin – however letting it produce fruiting bodies is prohibited. Each growkit typically contains:

a mycelium block of a selected Psilocybe cubensis variety,
a breathable bag with air filters,
paper clips for closing the bag,
protective cardboard packaging for safe transport.

Growkit shelf life and storage

Growkits have a limited shelf life. When stored in a refrigerator at 2–4 °C, the mycelium usually maintains good quality for up to around six months. Our store receives fresh deliveries every week, which allows us to keep regular rotation and long remaining best-before dates.

We carefully monitor temperature and storage conditions so that every kit leaves our cold room in optimal state. Growkits are sold exclusively for research, microscopy and collector purposes. Owning a mycelium block is legal in Poland, but allowing it to produce mushrooms that contain psilocybin is not.
