Growkit B+ 1200 ml

Growkit B+ is a fully prepared, research-grade mycology kit containing a colonised substrate of the Psilocybe cubensis B+ strain. It is designed for people interested in mycology, biology and documenting the early developmental stages of fungi. The kit does not contain any illegal fruiting bodies and is legal in Poland as an educational and collectible material.

How to store Growkit B+

To keep the material in the best possible condition, store the grow kit in a refrigerator at 2–5 °C. Under proper cold-chain conditions, the manufacturer declares mycelium stability of up to around six months from production. After delivery, we recommend placing the kit in the fridge as soon as possible and starting your laboratory or microscopy work within 72 hours of receipt.

Characteristics of the B+ strain

The B+ strain is often described as a “gentle classic” among collectors. From a mycological point of view it is appreciated for:

• stable, even colonisation of the substrate that is easy to document,
• strong, pale stems with caramel-brown caps (in countries where fruiting is legal),
• tolerance of minor environmental mistakes, which makes it a popular first growkit for beginners,
• an attractive, “classic” appearance of mycelium structures and early developmental stages, which looks great in photographs and microscope slides.

Because of its robustness and visual clarity, B+ is frequently used in comparative projects alongside strains such as Golden Teacher or Mazatapec, allowing researchers to study differences in colonisation and morphology between several P. cubensis lines.

The exact genetic history of B+ is not fully documented, but within psychedelic culture it is often associated with a warm, supportive character. Many collectors choose B+ as an alternative or complement to the iconic Golden Teacher growkit, especially when they are looking for a stable mycelium and material for comparative microscopic studies.

Is Growkit B+ legal?

The grow kit itself – mycelium in a substrate – is legal in Poland because it does not yet contain prohibited alkaloids. Only mature psilocybin mushroom fruiting bodies are illegal. This product is offered strictly as a collectible, educational and research item. We do not encourage cultivation or the use of psychoactive substances, and we recommend disposing of the growkit within 72 hours of receipt in countries where fruiting is prohibited.
